Phil started at the age of 5 with his twin brother Anthony. Always competing against each other, their friendly rivalry has developed a competitive and extremely focused nature, which drives Phil to improve on a daily basis, whether it is surfing, tennis or golf.

The 25 year-old twin from Tomakin on the NSW south coast has been gracing the surfing spotlight since he was 12. Phil joined the O&E Team aged 14 years. After an incredibly successful junior career Phil chased World Qualification Series points determined to make the elite top 44.

Phil Has had an extremely successful few years on the WCT with several top 16 rating finishes. In the 2005 final ratings for the men's ASP World Tour, Ocean and Earth's number 1 team rider and Podsurftv rider climbed the ratings ladder to a career best coming in at number 5. His best result for that year was a 2nd at the Boost Mobile Pro at Trestles where he went down to Kelly Slater in a very controversial final.

2006 was also a strong year for Macca that included possibly riding the biggest waves in Australia's history at a secret location near the Victorian border. He finished 2006 in 12th position on the 2006 men's ASP World Tour!

This year is going to be massive for the power surfer. Playing a key role in Podsurftv as presenter and sponsored surfer there is no doubt you will be seeing a lot more of Macca in the year to come.

From the first time Trent started surfing he was a natural, he showed little fear and an enormous drive & love of surfing. It wasn't long before sponsors approached Trent and he started to have great success in Junior events such as convincingly wining the 1997 Australasian Junior Title, blitzing the field by winning four pro-juniors. That same year he competed in the inaugural Billabong World Junior in Hawaii and was narrowly beaten by Andy Irons.

Trent qualified for the 2001WCT and won his first WCT event in Brazil and created a new world record of being the fastest rookie to ever win a WCT event. Trent was also voted the ASP Rookie of The Year! In 2005, Trent got the taste of sweet victory again when he won the 2005 Rip Curl Pro at Victoria's Woolamai Beach, Phillip Island. This result lifted him to the top of the ratings after his 3rd placing on the Gold Coast where he stayed for some months. 2005 also found Trent posting the award for Most Underrated Surfer at the 8th Annual ASL Peer Poll Awards. At years end, Trent finished 2005 with his best result yet, placed Number 6 in the world of Professional Surfing.

This year Trent is working closely with Podsurf.tv as reporter and presenter. You will be sure to see plenty of him this year in and out of the water.
